A meditation to reclaim balance and sanity

Isn’t it time to take a deep breath, a really deep breath?

The following meditation is to help us regain a bit of serenity in our overstuffed lives and overactive brains.

Allow yourself to get comfortably settled into a chair and take easy, deep breaths. Good; see, you can do this.

Now all you need to do is read the following words to yourself. If you like this meditation, feel free to make a recording on your smartphone and play it from time to time.

So without further adieu, let’s deepen together ….

As you breathe in, you quiet your mind.

As you breathe out, you relax your body.

Feel the gentle warmth of your midsection.

Feel the soft coolness on your forehead.

Imagine your feet warmed by the sun.

Allow yourself to feel like you are floating on a cloud.

Pretend that you are a rag doll.

Let there be a half smile on your face.

Just for this moment, breathe in stillness,

And release the demands for your time and energy.

Just for this moment, breathe in serenity,

And release the tightness in your body.

Just for this moment, breathe in quietude.

And release the chatter in your mind.

Just for this moment, breathe in peacefulness.

And release the frustrations of the day.

Just for this moment, allow yourself to be.

Be the stillness.

Be the serenity.

Be the quietude.

Be the peace.

And so it is.

Know, in every season, you are loved beyond measure

You are always so generous, dear Na’ama. Thank you so much. Onward in calm. xx

Beautiful, and a very timely reminder, especially as so much seems bent on escalation, rather than calming, restoring, quieting. Thank you for you, dear Adele.
