In Canada, a cat using its claws managed to open the closed door to its owners’ (aka mom and dad’s) bedroom. The cat began biting the mom — hard and repeatedly — until the mom woke up.
It turns out there was a fire in the house. The cat’s actions saved both the lives of both mom and dad from the fire.
Some people say animals have no feelings. I totally disagree. There is a bond we share with our pets. They add to our lives, stretch our worlds and open our hearts with their unconditional love.
I’m a sucker for a happy ending — and this happy ending is pretty sweet and very heart warming.
Long live our hero pets!
So glad! Thanks, Adrienne.
Thanks, Gayook. What a great Cognac story. Our four-legged family members know when we need them. xx
love it thanks Adele
I love this story, and I totally agree animals have feelings, having had cat and dog pets since I was a child. Now, we have a rescue dog, Cognac, who is really my daughter’s dog. However, I remember when I came home from the hospital after tumor removal surgery, this little one hadn’t been w/us for more than 6 weeks, yet as I hobbled down from the car, he didn’t go to my daughter like he usually does, but came straight to me and was by my side for days afterwards. Once I was better, I guess he figured I didn’t need him anymore, he went back to my daughter.
