Happy Solstice as we surrender
to the “Holy Darkness.”
“Beloved Friends and Family,
Welcome to winter. ❄️
Wherever you may dwell, I invite you to join me in letting down into the arms of the holy darkness. This is cave time. The time of inward-turning, mystery-embracing, pregnant-hiddenness. Every tradition I know of has shaped a ritual to match the liminal space of this season. The more masculine religions encourage us to navigate the darkness as efficiently as possible and get back to the light. ? Yet feminine wisdom is at home in not-knowingness. The feminine not only honors ambiguity but drinks it like tea. Drink with me. The sacred dark will swiftly lift.
Savor every sip.” ☕️
Many thanks to Elizabeth G. for sharing this beauty with me.
Amen to that and many thanks, Mary Swain!
Oh that is a beauty! Yes, we do understand ambiguity because we are multi-faceted and many things, at different times and all at once.
Thanks!
