How to deal with today’s world from the big view finder

Recently, someone asked me, “What’s going on?” They meant what’s going on in the world from a big viewfinder perspective. How do we explain the chaos and the craziness that keeps so many of us awake at nights and vibrating with disbelief and fury?

As promised to the person who asked the question, here is my take:

We are going through the push/pull of rebirth. As we know, there are labor pains associated with birth and, boy, howdy, are we experiencing enormous contractions and pain. It can be exhausting and dispiriting.

This rebirth heralds a new unity consciousness where we understand we are all connected and we, each and every one of us, are part of the whole. Skin tone, religion, politics, education, money, etc., does not matter one iota on the soul and energetic level. What matters is the power of our hearts and the clarity of our intentions.

Do I believe we will have lighter and brighter days? Yes, not as soon as we may like, but yes. Do I believe there will be dimensional shifts in our consciousness? Yes, we will see with new eyes and new understanding. Again, not as soon as we like. Do I believe that we are receiving assistance and help from our spiritual allies and star family? Yes, undoubtedly.

But – and, oh God, we hate the damn “buts” — we have to walk through the current divisiveness and work hard (very hard, in my case) to maintain some equilibrium and generosity of the heart. I am horrified regularly and have never dealt with the depths of fury and outrage as I have during this past year or so.

I asked myself, what am I learning? What is this moment in history teaching me?

The power of the heart and, concomitantly, outrage at injustice are alive and well.

Thank you, God. We do not want to see history repeat itself in waves of atrocities. We have witnessed individuals respond above and beyond the call of duty. We help without question or pause when someone is in trouble and facing disaster. Individuals take to the streets to decry ravages to Mother Earth and the climate, children in camps, sexual assaults, gun control, voters’ rights, and the like. We have become alive with the incredulity and outrage at injustices. We are fighting the good fight.

We can and do make a difference as we act from our higher selves, demonstrate compassion and promote caring in our stewardship of each other and Mother Earth. One by one, light by light, we make a difference. Think of the power of single flame in a dark room. This is the struggle right now, but the Light has already won even though it may feel quite the opposite these days.

We are being called to practice discernment, discernment, discernment.

What is true? What is a false flag or an outright lie? We all have to be from Missouri, “The Show Me” state. We must do our own due diligence. And equally, we must share information in a balanced way. Look for common ground, because, politicians notwithstanding, I believe there is common ground to be shared, protected and nurtured.

We need to take a breath. Gather ourselves and see what resonates within our hearts. We live in the Age of Information and it can be challenging to take it all in and make sense of the constant discourse and barrage of unending incoming.

My number one guideline is to follow my heart.

My thinking can twist and turn through way too many layers of multiplicity. I can think myself in and out of any number of things. The heart operates at the most essential level. It makes life easier to navigate when I have this guideline in place.

And, a gentle reminder: be kind to all. It is hard out there. Stressful. Challenging. Judgmental. Unfair. Impossible. And the like.  Yes, I am back to the heart. It is, like Antoine de Saint-Exupery told us in The Little Prince, “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly …”

It’s not easy, my deeply feeling and caring friends. And, as you know all too well, we raised our soul hands to be here now, to help tilt the axis and consciousness to a more expanded and loving state of being. This work is not for the faint-hearted. But, I guarantee you, I think you are more prepared than you think you are. Plus, I suggest that you do not recognize the amount of good you are already doing. You are mighty. And, remember, we are in this together.

Let’s don our big view-finder glasses, allow our hearts to take the lead as we step forward and dance the light fantastic.

PS If you’re played out and exhausted, this doctor prescribes copious amounts of play, rest, music, quietude, time in nature, baths, naps, chocolate and the like. Like Aesclepius’ healing temples in ancient Greece, we need to feed the soul and honor the body. Get yourself back to center first. We will hold your place.
